3 Inspirational Gifts for the Holidays and 2016
Sometimes, in the middle of the hectic holiday season, with global newspapers full of fear, I search for (or create) articles or slide presentations that give me hope. Such are the following 3 items in this post – gifts of hope for you and me for this holiday season and 2016.
The first is an article from The Atlantic Magazine with a summary of some global things to be thankful for from this past year:
2015: The Best Year in History for the Average Human Being
The second is a slide presentation that I created two years ago to illustrate a poem by David Whyte, author of The Heart Aroused. I think it is as inspirational now as it was then (to view it in full screen mode, just click on the white slanted arrows in the bottom of the slide screen):
Enough: A Poem of Hope for 2014 from Sharon Bowman
The third is another slide presentation I created to illustrate a poem by Helen Weaver Horn:
The Broken Place: A Poem of Hope from Sharon Bowman
May we all know that it is enough: to begin. May we all spring green for 2016!
